Central Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Takyi Mensah has confidently said that the NPP will achieve 60% vote in the upcoming election.
Speaking on the issue on Dadi FM, 101.1, with Abena Pokuaa Ahwenee, the secretary asserted that the work the party has done in the Region has assured the party victory ahead of the elections.
According to Takyi Mensah, one of the biggest problems in the region is bad roads which the NDC did nothing about it.
“One of our biggest problems is bad roads in the Region, yet the NDC has done nothing to help the Region. NPP has done what they couldn’t do in just four years, most of our bad roads are being fixed”, he said.
He also mentioned that apart from the NPP government fixing the roads, the party has also initiated projects in the region that has benefited most of the people with students inclusive.
“There are a lot of projects ongoing which the NDC overlooked, as we speak, the NPP government is building warehouses, even the secondary schools here, the government is building bungalows and dormitories”, he added.
He admitted that the NPP government is not frightened that the running mate for the NDC, Prof. Naana Jane is from the Central Region because that would not change the percentage of votes the NPP has targeted.
“Prof. Naana Jane was the minister of education and yet could not put measures in place to ensure the growth and improvement of the Region, NPP has proven they can do the job, so we are not threatened at all. We are actually targeting 60% votes in the Central Region”.
He, therefore, urged all residents at the public to vote for NPP so the party can do more and achieve more to improve the country.
