Former President John Dramani Mahama will retire from active politics in 2020 after being defeated again by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a top New Patriotic Party (NPP) member has predicted.
The Deputy Director of Communication at the Presidency, Fatimatu Abubakar has stated emphatically that former president Mahama would clearly be a mismatch for President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2020.
According to Fatimatu Abubakar, the erstwhile Mahama administration woefully handled the country’s economy and doesn’t deserve a second chance to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2020.
Speaking on “Efa Wo Ho” on Dadi FM hosted by Abena Pokua Ahwenee, she stressed that the NDC would regret massively since Mr John Dramani Mahama as their 2020 presidential candidate.
She said President Akufo-Addo has used few months in political office to bring renaissance into the country and so he would easily win a second term on the ticket of the NPP in the 2020 general election.
She said all the major problems that the Mahama-led NDC government created and left behind after losing the 2016 polls had almost been rectified by President Akufo-Addo and his team of competent officials, hence Mr Mahama will loss mercilessly coming 2020 election.
