NPP Communications Officer for Adanse Fomena Constituency, Eric Ofori has pleaded with the New Patriotic Party leaders not to accept Andrew Amoako if he decides to join the party again.
Andrew Amoako was the NPP MP for Adanse Fomena who decided to contest the elections as an independent candidate after he lost at the NPP primaries.
Andrew Amoako felt cheated on after the declaration of the primaries results and asked for a recount of votes which was not granted and that powered his decision to contest as an independent candidate.
He won at the just ended 2020 elections as the Member of Parliament for Adanse Fomena Constituency as an Independent Candidate.
According to Eric Ofori, he is assured the NPP won’t accept Andrew Amoako since it will be a disgrace for the New Patriotic Party to accept him or his votes.
“The integrity of our leaders will not even allow them to accept Andrew Amoako if he decides to come back into the party because”
He added that, if he is allowed to join the party again it will pave way for aspiring candidates to follow his steps and withdraw from the political party if they feel cheated on because they know they will be accepted back into the party.
“if we make a mistake of accepting him back, then other people will repeat the same thing because they know the party will receive them which shouldn’t be so”, he stated.
