Chief of Nsawam, Nana Kwamena Ansah I, who endorsed the New Patriotic Party’s flag bearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and enstooled him ‘Nana Ntentankesehene to wit ‘Chief of the Internet/Web’ has congratulated John Dramani Mahama,President -Elect.
In a statement issued from the palace stated that ” I wish to extend my warmest congratulations on behalf of the Chiefs and people of Nsawam for your resounding victory in the December 7, 2024 elections to become the 6th President in the 4″ Republic of Ghana.
The pursuit to this high office calls for intensive content-based campaign to the Ghanaian people which you executed judiciously and at last, touched the hearts of many which translated into your massive votes” .
The Nsawam Chief pledged his unwavering support to the “Reset Agenda” to put Ghana on the right track of development.
“I also wish you Godspeed throughout this transition period as you prepare to take up the responsibility and challenges of this high office.
As you embark on your preparations, I wish to assure you and your government of the unwavering support in all forms by the people of Nsawam to accomplish the Total Reset Agenda”..
The statement by the chief ended with assurance that the chiefs and Elders and the entire Nsawamman ” look forward to an outstanding developing partner role”
The Electoral Commission of Ghana declared John Dramani Mahama ,winner of Ghana’s 2024 presidential election based on results declared from 267 constituencies, excluding nine constituencies.
Mr. Mahama polled 6,328,397 votes representing 56.55 per cent of the valid votes cast to defeat the current Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and eleven others in the presidential election race.
