General Manager of Nsoatreman FC, Eric Alagidede is proud of his players despite bowing out of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Ghana FA Cup were knocked out of the competition after suffering a 1-0 defeat against CS Constantine in the second leg of their second-round clash last Saturday.
The result sealed a 3-0 aggregate victory for the Algerian club, who had previously won 2-0 in the first leg in Accra.
Speaking to Bryt FM in Koforidua, the high-flying football administrator commended his outfits’ performance in their maiden appearance despite elimination.
“It’s a very good experience for this young Nsoatreman team. We’ve seen a lot of clubs that got eliminated in the first round. We had eight players from the lower-ranks, who had not even tasted top-flight football. In all, the leadership of the club is proud of the players”
“People thought CS Constantine were going to wallop us in Algeria but that wasn’t the case there. We dominated play and even received applause from their President. The future can only be bright. I feel we’ve done ourselves a lot of good, we are proud of what the players did and can only build on the successes achieved this season”
The Amanaso-based club will now shift its focus to domestic competitions, where they will aim to defend their FA Cup title or compete for the Ghana Premier League title to secure another shot for continental football next season.
