Isaac Okra, husband of the 30-year-old nurse, Ruth Ama Eshun who was murdered some few meters away from her house has appealed to the Ghana Police Services to investigate his wife’s death with urgency.
Narrating the situation to Abena Pokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM’s “Efa Wo ho” morning show, Mr Okra said that his wife closed from work around 5:00 pm and left to town for public education in some schools on February 3, 2020.
Some hours later, he realized that his wife has not returned home so he decided to go and find out of her whereabouts. Upon several attempts, her wife was nowhere to be found hence reported the incident to police.
The police then told him to report the case to the Radio station until 24 hours.
” I taught maybe she has been involved in an accident so I check all the nearby hospitals including Kwame Nkrumah Teaching Hospital popularly known as “GEE” but yielded no profit,” Mr Okra revealed.
He later heard some rumours of his wife’s body lying in a bush closer to their home to which he couldn’t go near to verify how true the rumour is.
Mr Okra is then pleading heavily on Ghana police to look further into what caused the death of his wife and urged Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association to join in this investigation as soon as possible to aid in finding the cause of Ruth Ama Eshun’s death.
Ama Eshun was a registered community Health Nurse stationed at Sewua Health Centre in Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region with three children.
He added that Ama was a calm and respected wife who happens to help the needy and has no problem with anyone.
