In an effort to reach out to the less privileged in societies, Nyerede Parliament Youth in Agriculture has donated to Hour of Grace Orphanage Home in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The donation was to motivate and to provide basic necessities to help improve the living standard of the orphans in the area.
The management of Hour of Grace Orphanage Home received a number of gifts, including bags of rice, water, toiletries, milk, plantains, crates of eggs, and many other items.
The President of the Association, Prince Acquah Tony disclosed that their entity is committed to reaching out to the needy, saying the donation was to support the orphans in their needs.
Highlighting the importance of the contribution to the orphanage home, Mr. Tony indicated the donation is part of the corporate social responsibilities of the association.
Speaking to Nhyiraba Solomon Nartey of Koforidua-based Bryt FM after the donation, Mr. Tony pledged on behalf of the association their readiness to continue contributing to the needy.
He made a call on philanthropists, donors, and institutions to join hands with them to support and promote the less privileged in the country.
“And for now we will need more partners because partners are very important to us, and we have started talking to other companies. We plead to each and everyone who has the desire in agriculture to join the Nyerede Parliament youth agriculture,’’ said the President of the association.
Mr. Tony explained that they will stay committed and united to take keen interest in agricultural activities with initiatives to help the communities.
Mr. Lawrence Gbengor, the founder of the Hour of Grace Orphanage, commended the team from the Nyerede Parliament Youth in Agriculture, saying their donation will help and promote the welfare of the orphans.
He prayed for upliftment and progress of the association to reach out to more people in the country. Mr. Gbengor pleaded with Ghanaians to come to their aid.
Nyerede Parliament Youth in Agriculture was launched to boost agribusiness and improve food security in the country.
The Nyerede parliament youth focuses on using agriculture to alleviate poverty for sustainable agricultural practices and equitable outcomes in the municipality.
