An Okada rider has crashed a 50year old man riding a bicycle to death at Asamankese in the West Akyem Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred Saturday, August 15, 2020, at about 4:30pm.
The moto rider, Samuel Dogbe, 30, was riding Royal Motorbike with a registration number. M-15-ER 291 from Asamankese main Lorry station to Empeakon a suburb of Asamankese.On reaching a section of the road at Asamankese Calvary Assembly of the Methodist Church -the Ghana area crashed the victim who was riding a bicycle at the nearside of the road.
He sustained serious injury and was rushed to Asamankese Government Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue
According to the acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sargeant Francis Gomado, the suspect rider was in Police Custody assisting in the investigation while motorbike impounded.
