Thirteen (13) communities in Okere District in Eastern region are expected to be connected to the national electricity grid in the coming weeks.
The communities are Akyeremateng ,
Sikoko, Ntronang
Afiafi ,Atwetwerede , Baware No. 2
Paulkope ,Deveme ,Okomfo Yaw Anim Akura ,Abo)so ,Sorokpo Akura and
Domease.
The electricity connection to the communities is expected to stimulate the local economy and boost job creation among artisans .
The District Chief Executive for Okere Daniel Nana Addo Kenneth said “With gratitude from our ever hardworking MP Hon Daniel Botwe the following communities in Okere are also going to be connected to the National Electricity grid. From 11th May, 2022 the ECG in partnership with the office of the MP and the Okere District Assembly will start the preparation of the mapping for the erection of ECG poles and determination of transformers needed. We entreat all members of the communities and nearby towns to give the necessary collaboration to the workers”
