A Mother and daughter are seriously injured in a near-fatal accident at Okrakwadwo a farming community in the Okere District of the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred Saturday, April 18, 2020, on Okrakwadwo road which joins the Koforidua to Adukrom highway.
According to an eyewitness, a section of the road under construction has been blocked with sand hence instead of the pickup to wait for the Tricycle which was almost at the narrow part of the road to pass, it also forced to pass crushing away the tricycle which was transporting foodstuffs with the mother and daughter seated on it.
The victims fell off the tricycle and crashed as the tricycle run into a ditch in the bush.
The young girl was immediately rushed to the Eastern Regional Hospital whereas the mother who sustains an injury in the leg was treated at a local CHPs compound but later referred also to the Regional Hospital.
The motor rider has also been treated and discharged.
