The Okuapeman Traditional Council held a historic and colorful durbar in Amanokrom-Akuapem to welcome National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
The National Chief Imam and his entourage were in the Traditional area to donate to the Akropong School for the Blind and Mampong School for the deaf.
Led by the Okuapehene Oseadeyo Kwesi Akufo III, Okuapeman assembled its divisional heads and displayed its beautiful, rich culture to welcome Sheikh Sharubutu and his entourage to the Palace at Amonokrom after which he was led to a traditional grand style to the schools.
Sheik Nuhu Shaributu asked for Allah’s blessings and peace upon Okuapeman and Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III.
The Chief Imam who was impressed with the grand welcome pledged that this will not be the first and last time of his visit to Oseadeeyo as he desires to strengthen the peace and unity among the Muslims, Christians, and Nananom.
Okuapehene Oseadeyo Kwesi Akufo III said the visit by the National Chief Imam was historic because it was the first time the Traditional Council has received such eminent mulism personality on the land.
“I am privileged and honored to host the National Chief Imam. This is historic and we will never forget this day,” said the Okuapehene.
“I will never forget this historic visit and I will write it down as part of our history.”
