The Overlord of the Dagbon state, Ya-Na Abubakari Mahama on Saturday made a triumphant entry to the Ofori Panin Fie to join Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin to mark his 20th anniversary.


Ya-Na Mahama who was accompanied by a long retinue of chiefs rode on a horse amidst a beautiful display of the Dagomba traditional dance ” Damba”, to the admiration of the enthusiastic crowd which gathered at the forecourt of Ofori Panin Fie.



The anxious crowd rushed from their seats to catch a glimpse of the Dagbon overlord as he rode on horseback, escorted by three others and a huge entourage of chiefs, drummers and other sympathizers.


This brought human traffic to a standstill for almost 20 minutes.
