Works and Housing minister, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah inspected the 200 housing units being constructed by the State Housing Company (SHC) in Amrahia.
These homes are currently 75% complete.
According to him, it is imperative to note that, on the Amrahia housing project, the Ministry is piloting parts of its incentive package by providing essential infrastructure such as roads and water connections at no cost to the developer.
He added that the Ministry will soon extend these incentives to all master developers who sign up for gov’ts PPP framework for affordable housing.
The provision of these incentives is to reduce the cost of housing units for the benefit of the Ghanaian people.
