The New Patriotic Party’s General Secretary, John Boadu has stated that Ghana has matured in democracy due to the peaceful atmosphere before, during, and after the election process in the country.
According to him, they are assured to get their results within 8 to 12 hours but they will still wait for the Electoral Commission to announce the results.
“I’m sure that within 8 to 12 hours we will get our results, our internal coalition system is such that within 8 hours we should have our results but we will still wait for the EC to declare their results”, he said.
He revealed that they conducted an exercise to help them collate results within 2 hours so they are positive they will collate even before EC does.
He added that their main focus as a party is not to just win the elections but they also want the pink sheets, and he believes with the competence of the NPP it will take a lot of years for the opposition parties to come back.
“We are not only looking at winning, as we are winning we should be able to present pink sheets as well, we have a competent government and a stable party, he said.
