Report also indicates the family will later present the petition book to the Speaker of Parliament to reveal their anmger and frustration on failure to find justice for their son.
Statement from family below:
In Demand for Justice for Hon. J.B. Danquah-Adu
Life as a gift from our creator, our freedom as a nation in moments of time and a future for all Ghanaians can never be a hobby of the oppressors. J.B. Danquah-Adu’s life matters, Ghana will for the first time speak in demand for justice as the United Abuakwa North Constituency seeks.
We chant no war songs but our spirit are charged for this mockery game of the NPP Administration .
On 9th. February, 2016, Hon JB Danquah-Adu was brutally murdered in a bloody loud and violent manner by a known assailant. An incident that will forever remain a trauma for the entire nation. The then Presidential Candidate of the NPP who is now the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo who was the political neighbor of the Hon J.B. Danquah Addo and also a cousin to the Hon JB which is why they both have the same name “Danquah”, upon his promise in seeking Justice once he wins power said in his tribute to the Late Hon JB on 10 February 2016 copied from GH One news portal and I quote “Nana continued: “He’s been somebody always willing to look into things. He never hesitated to speak his mind on anything that he thought required his comment. I like people like that. He will give you the benefit of his views.”. . Sad to say that by this speech, I can boldly say that the Late Hon JB was the only man in the NPP as NPP bluffed and I quote “we have the men”. Everything shows that they cannot even speak for their own as JB will have done for the entire nation.
We as a family and an entire nation are lost in this trial and It baffles us how Citizens are being frightened to deter us from speaking on this matter only because of one killer who has no political power unless otherwise proven by an affiliation to some sort influence unknown to the Citizens of Ghana. I say so because A foreigner finds his phone in 24hours with the help of our most promising friends, THE GHANA POLICE. You cannot break our resolve as a nation.
Today being the 7th year, J. B. Danquah-Adu, a son of the land demands justice for his soul to be put to rest peacefully otherwise the blood of JB Danquah-Adu shall continue to rest on your heads. A petition book has been opened this morning to seek support of our beloved Nation Ghana in demand for justice for our beloved Member of Parliament and entreat all Ghanaians to append their signatures as this book shall travel across the entire country for Ghana to speak as a nation. This book shall be presented to Office of Parliament for our able current Speaker, the Hon. Alban Bagbin, a one time colleague of the Late Hon. J. B. Danquah-Adu whom we all believe as a nation that the Hon. Speaker of Parliament still mourns with the nation over the bloody murder of the entire nation’s beloved brother the late Hon. J.B. Danquah-Adu who served his people very well regardless of their tribe, religion or political color.
JB will rest.
