Communications Director of Ashantigold Eric Karikari says winning the Ghana Premier League is the team’s priority this season.
Speaking to S.K Ntim of Bryt FM in Koforidua; he expressed his outfits readiness to challenge for the 2020/2021 GPL trophy.
According to him, their ultimate aim is to win the domestic top-flight league title and subsequently make a meaningful impact in the upcoming CAF Confederations Cup competition.
“It is the dream of every club to win the league title. So our target is to go into the league and win it. We have good materials to make things happen next season. We’ve lost some key players but I believe their exit will not affect us because we’ve replaced them” he said.
He continued that, “Our target for upcoming Africa inter-club competition is to qualify into the group stages. When we are able to get to the group stage that is where we will start thinking about the making it to the final four teams”
Ashantigold will be competing in three major competitions with the CAF Confederations cup no exception.
The miners will lock horns with Karela United in matchday one at Obuasi.
