Veteran Ghanaian actor Prince Yawson commonly known as Waakye has practically asked Ghanaians to forgive him for throwing his weight behind the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 general elections.
According to him, circumstances made him come out to support the NPP openly because things were unbearable under former Mahama administration and the only thing he can do is to make a change.
Speaking in an interview on an Accra based radio station, Waakye admitted that he is a private person who doesn’t want to indulge himself in politics but frustration made him campaign for Nana Addo and the NPP.
He, however, affirmed that persistent power outages under the erstwhile Mahama’s regime got a negative impact on his acting job and that is why he chose to join the elephant family.
Mr Yawson added that he has started making enemies since he openly endorses Akufo-Addo and the NPP hence Ghanaians should Forgive him.
