The Parliamentary Christian Fellowship (PCF), under the auspices of the Rt. Hon Speaker, Alban S. K Bagbin, has held its third prayer meeting, focusing on “Praying for the Nation”.
The prayer meeting, congregated the Speakership, Members of Parliament (MPs), the Clerkship, and Staff of the Parliament Service.
Speaking on behalf of the Speaker, the 2nd Deputy Speaker, Hon Andrew Asiamah Amoako, encouraged congregants to be sincere in their calling to the Nation and give this country a facelift through prayers.
Intercessory prayers were said for the three arms of Government, the Nation, and a Peaceful 2024 General Elections.
The occasion was also used to welcome National Service Personnel for 2024/2025, to the fellowship.
In attendance were the President of the PCF, Hon. Emmanuel Bedzrah, Hon. Helen Ntoso, Hon. Naa Odoley Sowah, Hon. Kwaku Asante-Boateng, Clerk to Parliament Mr. Cyril K.O Nsiah, Deputy Clerk Ebenezer Djietrior, Deputy Clerk Gloria Sarku Kumawu, Rev. Humphrey Hagan, Rev. Nicholas Appiah, Rev. Jonathan Blay, Voices of Democracy and many more.
The Speaker’s Prayer meeting is organised by the PCF at the beginning of each meeting of Parliament, to commit the House into the hands of God.
