Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, Government Spokesperson on Governance and Security has emphasized that today, Tuesday October, 22 is another day for Ghana to show forth for her resolve, maturity and deep understanding of the law.
The lecturer of University of Professional Studies was of the view that 32 years of Parliamentary legislation this 8th Parliament has been a real proof of our deepening democracy.
He stated “Whether or not we will abide by Constitutional supremacy or parliamentary supremacy, that decision by speaker Bagbin today will either deepen our democracy or derail our collective RESOLVE”
“The Supreme Court has asked for a stay in the reasoning of the speakers ruling. Remembering that a clear interpretation of Article 97(1)(g)(h) is yet to be decided upon by the Supreme Court. A clear separation of powers. A clear arm of the Government”
“I conclude that, today is yet another day for Ghana to show forth her RESOLVE, MATURITY AND DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF THE LAW, as records of history tomorrow would remember today. Long live Ghana and make us great and strong” he stressed.
