Ahead of the presentation of the 2024 Budget Statement and Economic Policy in Parliament earlier, Energy minister Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh contributed to a statement on the floor of Parliament, eulogizing the late former First Lady, H.E. Mrs. Theresah Aba Kufuor.
He recounted his motherly relationship with Aunty Aba; staying with her for the most part of his university life, any time he was in Accra.
He used the opportunity to invite friends and well-wishers to join us bid her farewell, starting with tonight’s requiem mass at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Cantonments, tomorrow’s State Funeral at the Forecourt of the State House, and the final funeral rites in Kumasi during the weekend.
A disciplinarian and a devout christian who continued to sing in her church choir even as First Lady, Aunty Aba will be dearly missed.
The 2024 budget, he believe, will advance us as a country, towards the path of economic growth and advancement.
