Members of the New Patriotic Party have been urged to contribute financially to the welfare of the party at all times.
Dr. Charles Dwamena, the National Treasurer of the party was of the view political parties thrives on payment of dues and other contributions, hence the need for party faithfuls to contribute their quota going forward.
Speaking on Net 2 TV The Seat show with Ohene Amoako (The Flagbearer)), Dr. Dwamena revealed that failure on the part of party supporters to contribute financially has allowed political business personalities taken advantage to situation to sponsor most parties, an instance that comes with juicy commitment in the future.
“When political business persons invest in parties, it gives the platform to seek in return all the benefits when the party win power. That situation has denied many foot soldiers the opportunity to also directly benefit from the many government programs” Dr. Charles Dwamena stressed.
He, therefore, encouraged every party member to start paying ther monthly dues so as be considered whenever there opportunities for consideration.
The NPP National Treasurer also hinted the party under the leadership of Chairman Stephen Ntim will soon launch a platform to enable all supporters to have easy access of paying their dues.
He stressed the NPP needs to financially strong going into the 2024 elections and therefore requested all party sympathisers and faithfuls to support the course.
