The National President for NABCO Trainees Association of Ghana (NABTAG), Mr. Denis Opoku Katakyie has appealed to the government to as a matter of urgency pay their four months’ salary arrears.
According to him, the non-payment of salary arrears is seriously affecting the beneficiaries and ruining families.
Speaking in an interview with the media, Mr. Denis Opoku Katakyie said despite the good intentions of the program, the erratic payment of salaries is making it unattractive to graduates as it brings serious hardship to the extent that beneficiaries have to walk a long distance to work due to unavailability of money to pay for transportation fares.
NABCO was introduced by the Akufo-Addo led administration in 2017 as part of measures to address graduate unemployment in the country.
The initiative was run under seven modules namely; Educate Ghana, Heal Ghana, Feed Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Digitize Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, and Civic Ghana.
