The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo believes that residents in Okuapem will witness peace very soon after a successful installation of a new Chief.
He indicated that the struggles and misunderstanding that characterised the enstoolment of the new chief was past and gone and must not eat into the hallmark of Okuapeman’s peace.
Nana Addo has therefore called on people of Akuapem to support the newly installed chief for peace and unity to remain in the area.
President Akufo Addo made this assertion when he visited party Faithfuls at Akropong on Thursday, 3rd December to canvas for votes prior to December general election.
The newly-installed Paramount Chief of Akuapem Traditional Area, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo II, on Sunday, May 3, 2020, swore the oath of allegiance to all the five Divisional Chiefs in Okuapemman.
Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akufo II, known in private life as Nana Kwadwo Kese, was on Saturday morning presented as the eligible fit and proper candidate to the Kingmakers, who overwhelmingly endorsed his nomination as the Chief of Akuapem.
He succeeds the late Oseeadeyo Addo Dankwa III who died in 2015 after being on the throne for over 41 years.
