A Pastor with The Church of Pentecost has criticized Onua Maakye TV show host captain Smart over his incessant attacks on Christianity, Jesus Christ, the Bible and the Church.
In the maiden article by Pastor William Boachie-Ansah, he rhetorically questioned if Captain Smart is indeed smart adding his denouncement of Christianity followed by revelation of his hidden ills and unpopularity must be a wake up call.
Bellow is the full article
THIS MAN CAPTAIN SMART.. IS HE REALLY SMART?
Well the first time I heard about him, I was told he was an Elder of my church. I liked his voice. I liked the civil nature in which he conveyed his thoughts. He would quote the Bible to support the moral basis of most of his concerns. And many church people liked him. He shot to fame because of church….
Then a time came he started to shed off some of the Church tags he was wearing. He stopped saying he was a proud member of the Church of Pentecost. He stopped mentioning the name of God and Jesus in his things. That was when we began to hear about some of his controversial dealings with some women. That was when we heard some women were accusing him on social media that he collected their monies and promised to marry them…
And now, the Captain Smart we see and hear on radio and social media is a totally different one.
We heard him recently advising the youth to stop going to church on Sundays and go to work to get money.
People who are not Christians came out to debunk his reasons because Sunday is a public holiday without much job opportunities.
He wilfully published a performance appraisal letter of the Church of Pentecost with the sole aim of getting the public to crucify the church for setting financial goals and targets. Many ignorant and emotional people lambasted the church, but corporate people some of whom are not Christians came out to defend the church on the grounds that, every organization with a vision for positive growth set targets, and tries to find out why targets were not met…
And just last week, I heard him saying that 95% or so of the Bible is not correct. He’s now attacking the Bible…
The first major belief of the Church of Pentecost which he claims to belong to, is this: “̼We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures. We believe that the Bible is infallible [not wrong on any subject] in its declaration, final in its authority, all-sufficient in its provisions and comprehensive [a lot of everything] in its sufficiency (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:21)”
Can this Smart still say he’s a true member of the Church? It is very clear now that he’s shipwrecked his faith in the Bible….
To be continued.
