The Accra Central Library Children’s Corner has held a personality read event for patrons from Bishop Girls, Bishop Mixed JHS, Independence Avenue and Queen Elizabeth basic schools, all in Accra.
The guest reader was Mad. Beatrice Omari – Retired Nurse (UK) speciality in Women’s Health(Gynaecology & Breast Cancer).
Reiterating that a reading nation is a learning nation, she encouraged the students to read consistently to improve upon their vocabulary.
The GLA has declared 2022 as the Year of Books and has embarked on many programmes to educate the public on the need to patronise libraries.
