Effutu is blessed with numerous culturally diverse festivals which are celebrated annually. One of them is the Masquerade Festival which was held recently.
In his bid to promote tourism through such festivals which are held annually, the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has donated sets of musical instruments to five masquerade groups.
These donations are meant to motivate the beneficiary groups to do more to project and promote Effutu through this age long festival.
It must be emphasized that several of such donations have been made by the Member of Parliament to other cultural groups within the Effutu enclave all in an effort to promote Effutu in tourism.
Recipients of the musical instruments could not hide their happiness at the gesture as they thanked Hon. Afenyo-Markin profusely for the items.
They promised to put Effutu on the global market and map once again through the Masquerade Festival.
