The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has expressed worry over the government’s failure to continue the Community Day Schools across the country.
Mr. Mahama who spearheaded the start of work on the 200 Community Day Schools condemned the decision by the government to stop paying for ongoing projects.
The School is one of the many E-Blocks projects yet to be finished and put to use by the government.
“If you go across the country you will find them at different stages of completion…some are almost completed yet they remain unoccupied. If you look at the children in that community and its surrounding communities they have to travel several kilometers to go get secondary education when a secondary school is at their doorstep,” he said.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has told party members that he is on a mission to rescue Ghana from the abysmal performance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to the former President, Ghanaians are “disillusioned” under the direction of the Akufo-Addo led government.
“I think that Ghanaians are more discerning now…after what we’ve all gone through, any politician who comes dangling promises before you, you’ll look at him twice…or, if any politician comes to you and says, Try me’, you’ll turn and run away,” the former said during a meeting with party members in London.
