Hundreds of Residents in Savanah Region on Sunday, 6th September 2020, trooped to the durbar grounds to express their appreciation to the NPP Government led by President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his vice, DR Mahamadu Bawumia for their good policies.
The vice president of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia on his working visit to the Northern part of Ghana took him to Gushegu and Karaga constituencies in the Northern region; Salaga South and North constituencies in the Savannah region where he met with Chiefs and People at durbars to discuss development related issues.
The Chiefs lamented that the constituency had not seen any development under the 8 years of the previous NDC government.
It was pleasing to hear testimonies from the people how the many interventions such as; One Village One Dam, Free SHS, the Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and massive infrastructure amongst others introduced by President Akufo-Addo’s administration amidst the peaceful coexistence due to the settling of Chieftaincy disputes are transforming the lives of the people and also the growth of these communities.
Dr Bawumia, therefore, urged them to continue to live in harmony regardless of their tribal, religious and regional differences and reiterated President Akufo-Addo’s agenda of bringing more developments to them in his second term God willing.
