The Chief Executive Officer of National Youth Authority, NYA, Pius Enam Hadzide is being roasted on social media for attacking the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman, Thomas Ampem Nyarko
Pius, who has declared his intention to contest the Asuogyaman parliamentary seat in 2024, accused the MP of being insensitive to victims of a fire outbreak disaster that occurred almost three weeks ago at New Pawmu.
He wrote “I returned from my official trip to the United Kingdom to the sad news of a fire disaster that ravaged shops of some traders and artisans at New Powmu. This morning I visited the victims to sympathize and empathize with them. I also donated my widow’s mite to help them build back better.
I seized the opportunity to bemoan the loud silence of our Member of Parliament even in the face of the series of disasters that have occurred in the constituency. An MP is a representative and an advocate of the people, he is expected to care and cater for the needs and aspirations of his/her people, looks like the current Asuogyaman MP is failing woefully at his job”.
Social media users mostly Constituents in Asuogyaman accused the CEO of NYA of engaging in cheap politicking.
They drew the attention of Pius Enam Hadzide to rather call on the National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO, and the District Assembly to go to the aide of the victims.
Felix Boney wrote on the wall of Pius Enam Hadzide,
“Mr. Australia man, I think you need to go back to the UK and complete your lessons on Local governance. Between the DCE and MP, who should you blame for not attending swiftly to disasters in a district? Is the MP in charge of NADMO? Maybe you have also forgotten that the DCE resides in this same electoral area you have mentioned. He (DCE) would rather use our tax of over GHC20,000 to reshape a 100-meter clay road than use it to alleviate the poor.
And did I read that you “bemoan the loud silence of our MP in the face of disasters”? Have you finished bemoaning the President of the country in the face of economic disaster you have plunged this country into? Have you finished bemoaning the President for appointing Natural Disasters like yourself who brought nothing but disgrace to the youth of this nation in your infamous “Australia Visa” saga?
Anyway, I thank you for accepting that your government is so useless and clueless that, you demand even things you should be seen doing as the government from an opposition MP”.
