The Home and Urban Mission (HUM) of the Koforidua Area, in collaboration with the Medical and Evangelism team of PIWC-Koforidua and the Eastern Regional Hospital, has organized a free health screening and tuberculosis (TB) testing exercise for residents of New Juaben, particularly those in ghettos.
The exercise, held to mark World Tuberculosis Day, benefited over 363 individuals, with free medications provided for diagnosed ailments.
Additionally, sputum samples were collected from suspected TB cases for further laboratory examination.

Pastor Daniel Kwame Nabaku, the Koforidua Area Coordinator for HUM for the Church of Pentecost highlighted the importance of the initiative in addressing health concerns within vulnerable communities.
He also advised the youth against drug abuse particular recently trending “wonim Red”drug.
Pastor Theodore Ashia, Resident Minister of PIWC-Koforidua, also emphasized the need for the church to provide not only spiritual guidance but also physical and medical support to the people it evangelizes.

14 individuals accepted Christ at the end of the screening exercise.Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to The Church of Pentecost for the timely intervention, which they described as life-saving.
Second Hand clothing were also donated.
