A joint investigation by the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service is underway, following a fire outbreak at the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools in the early hours of December 17, 2024.
The school is also being used to store ballot boxes for the Ablekuma North Constituency.
The Ghana Police Service is committed to ensuring justice is served in the recent incident.
“We assure the public that anyone found responsible will be arrested and prosecuted. In the meantime, we urge everyone to remain calm as we continue investigating”.
Regarding the post-election disturbances, a total of 132 suspects have been arrested nationwide. These individuals are currently going through the necessary legal processes.
Out of the 132 suspects, 45 suspects have been Remanded in Custody, 71 suspects in police Enquiry bail and 16 suspects in court bail.
The police pledged to continue to work diligently to ensure that those responsible for the disturbances are held accountable.
