A Police Officer Abdul Rashid with Service number 54286 has been shot dead.
The Police officer who was with the Headquarters Counter-Terrorism Directorate was shot at his residence at Abeka Lapaz, Accra.
According to the Police, the incident which occurred yesterday, 19th July 2020 is under investigation, to unravel the circumstances leading to his death and who killed him.
The pistol, which is believed to have been used, is in police custody.
A sister of the deceased, 21-year-old Shakira Nasir who resided with the deceased and was present at the time of the incident is also in police custody, assisting with the investigation.
