As reported earlier on 14th of June 2023, the missing party member Mr Charles Kwarteng, who supported one of the ten Presidential Aspirants of the New Patriotic Party in Somanya Constituency, has finally been found alive in an uncompleted building at a village in an unconscious manner and been admitted at Hospital where he is responding well to medical treatment.
According to the police, Mr Charles Kwarteng was kidnapped and assaulted for three days by a group of gang men when he went to a village called Sikaben to do a party campaign.
From the Somanya Police division, the kidnap and attack on Charles is a result of him changing his mind to support another candidate from the ten presidential candidates. Again, the place Charles went to do the campaign is believed to be the stronghold of the opposition party- the National Democratic Congress (NDC) hence attacking him.
The family of Mr Kwarteng is using this media to inform the public that Charles has finally been found alive and thank the general public, especially Somanya police for their support in rescuing him.
