Dan Owusu, Ghana Football legend has urged top-flight referees to improve their performance to salvage the game.
There have been low turnouts recorded at some stadia in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, with some Ghanaians blaming poor officiating for the poor attendance.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the three-time Ghana Premier League goal king admitted referees are part of the problems in Ghana football and has therefore urged them to uplift their performance.
“Referees are part of our problems so I will urge them to lift up their performance to save our game”.
“They have to perform well because no referee was assaulted during our time. I have seen couple of referees being chased by fans in some venues and this cannot help our game to progress” he said.
