Former Asante Kotoko player Ollenu Ashitey has cited poor recruitment as the reason for club’s unsuccessful spell in recent times.
The Porcupine Warriors have struggled to make a meaningful impact both locally and internationally and according to their former player, lack of proper recruitment has affected the club to progress.
Ollenu Ashitey who currently ply his trade for Ghana Premier League side, Techiman Eleven Wonders has therefore lambasted management of the Kumasi based club for signing Brazilian midfielder, Fabio Gama Dos Santos.
According to him, he does not see the importance in the acquisition of the player and has described it as waste of money.
“Signing Fabio Gama is a waste of money. Kotoko’s recruitment is poor. They don’t give the player’s time to settle and grow. Sacking players every season is their major problem” he told Energy FM.
