The Eastern Regional Office of the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG, says the power outage experienced around 10:00 am Thursday was a result of lack of power supply from GRIDCO.
There was light off in parts of the Eastern region including Koforidua District, Tafo District, Suhum District, Begoro district, and Kibi District around 10:00am and was restored 30 minutes later.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Regional Manager of ECG, Ing Michael Baah explained that “a chainsaw operator fell a big tree on Asesewa feeder close to the source and brought the lines down. ECG men are on their way to the site to rectify the problem”.
