Accra, Ghana – July 2, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama has released the final batch of deputy ministerial appointments, completing the formation of his ministerial team.
In this latest announcement, Hon. Dorcas Toffey, Member of Parliament for Jomoro, has been appointed Deputy Minister for Transport. Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, Member of Parliament for Assin North, has been named Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs. Hon. Mohammed A. Sukparu, MP for Sissala West, has been designated as Deputy Communications Minister, while Hon. Prof. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan, has been appointed Deputy Minister for Health.
According to the Presidency, these appointments are aimed at strengthening government operations in key sectors including transportation, foreign affairs, communications, and health.
The President expressed confidence in the appointees’ capabilities, urging them to serve with dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to national development.
All four nominees are expected to undergo the necessary vetting and approval process in Parliament before assuming office.
