He assured Ghanaians of his administration’s commitment to bolstering the health sector, recognizing its pivotal role in national development.
President Mahama acknowledged the dramatic shift caused by the recent election, stating that it reflects the people’s demand for transformative leadership.
However, he urged citizens to view the celebrations as a reminder of the responsibilities entrusted to them by their mandate.
“The people expect democracy to benefit them,” he said, stressing the need for governance that addresses the aspirations of all Ghanaians.
He assured the electorate that their votes mattered, promising decisive and swift action to tackle the challenges ahead.
In a bold move, President Mahama announced a comprehensive plan of 26 actions that he intends to execute within his first 120 days in office and described the plan as a critical step toward resetting the trajectory of the country.
“I accept the mantle as your President with passion and resolve,” Mahama declared. He vowed to prioritize the future of Ghana’s youth, creating a society where barriers are shattered, and dreams can be pursued without restraint. He urged Ghanaians not to succumb to pessimism but to embrace hope and unity as the country embarks on a path to renewal.
Ending his address, President Mahama pledged to lead a government that inspires confidence and restores trust in democracy, ensuring a brighter future for all citizens.
