Hon. Habib Iddrisu, Member of Parliament for Tolon constituency in the Northern Region and Second Deputy Majority Chief Whip has said vehemently that, those criticizing the purchase of presidential jet have no justification.
Hon. Habib Iddrisu has justified why Ghana needs to procure a new and bigger aircraft for presidential travels.
“I don’t see anything wrong if we are buying a new private jet, because it will benefit the Nation not only the president”
According to him, they are not buying the Jet for Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo as his mandate will expire in 2025, but the jet will remain the property of the Nation.
He acknowledged that the current Falcon for presidential travels has occupancy challenges apart from the issue of stopping to refuel when on long travels.
