President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo released names of men and women to fill all the 16 Regional Ministry positions in his government.
The President has decided that there will be no Deputy Regional Ministers. At an appropriate date, the President, in accordance with the Constitution, will submit to Parliament the list of all Deputy Ministers of State for its approval.
Former MP for Mpreaso, Seth Acheampong has been nominated for the Eastern region, and Henry Quartey, MP for Ayawaso Central and former Deputy National security minister has been named as the Greater Accra regional minister-designate.
Mr. Shani Alhassan Saibu, Mr. Yidana Zakarian, and Mr. Joseph Makubu have been nominated as regional ministers-designate for the Northern, North East, and Oti regions respectively.
Mr. Saeed Muhazu Jibril goes to the Savannah, Mr. Stephen Yakubu to Upper East, and Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih to the Upper West Region.
Justina Owusu Banahene will be the Bono Regional Minister while Justina MaryGold Assan takes over Central Region.
Mr. Adu Gyan has been appointed Bono East Regional Minister as Simon Osei Mensah renamed Ashanti Regional Minister.
Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa and Honourable Okyere Darko Mensah maintain seats for Volta and Western Region.
Also, Mr. George Boakye has been appointed for Ahafo Region and Richard Obeng for Western North.
