President Akufo Addo is expected to pay a courtesy call on Okuapehene, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
The visit by the President is part of his three-day tour of the Eastern Region.
Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III is expected to sit in state to receive the President and his entourage with glamorous traditional and customary rites at his Palace in Akropong.
The courtesy call by the President reaffirms the validity of the Okuapehene as legitimate Paramount Chief contrary to speculations that the Okuapehene has been barred by the court from carrying out his traditional duties as Omanhene of Akuapem Traditional Area.
The Odwira Festival is scheduled to begin on October 11 to 17th 2021 under the theme “Oneness through Our Heritage” a few days after President’s visit

President Akufo-Addo will from Tuesday embark on a 3-day tour in the Eastern Region.
He will on Tuesday start from Nkawkaw for a radio interview, then visit Kwahu Atibie Government Hospital and round up first-day tour in Koforidua.
On Wednesday, the President will continue the tour from Aburi, then proceed to Akropong, Somanya, and round up at Adukrom to commission a permanent District Assembly block for Okere District.
He will climax the tour on Thursday with a visit to Adeiso. He will commission some projects at Akim Swedru.
He will also visit the Akim – Oda burnt market, then round up at Akim Wenchi.
