The running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has promised to expand the free Senior High School programme to cover private schools in deprived areas should the party win the 7th December general election
Professor Opoku-Agyemang made the promise when they launched the party’s 2020 manifesto on Monday, September 7, 2020, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
She indicated that the Free Senior High School (FSHS) programme will be expanded to include private schools in deprived areas, adding that, the programmes “numerous challenges will be addressed and higher standards would be introduced”.
The party also reiterated promises that it will abolish the double-track system introduced by the New Patriotic Party government.
