The Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua has taken delivery of state-of-the-art medical equipment from PATH and partners.
The donated equipment included spot vital monitors, radiant warmer, phototherapy UV lights (individual), CPAP machine, baby cots, cardiac monitoring leads, portable oxygen E cylinders and isolate incubators with a two-hour standby battery life to sustain them in the event of power outage among others.
Present at the ceremony, were the Regional Director of Health Services, Dr Winfred Ofosu, Reps from PATH, Kybele, Management of ERHK, CEO of African Health Supplies and some dignitaries from the Ghana Health Service.
Making Every Baby Count Initiative’s second phase will not only improve the survival of preterm babies but will also make them thrive.
