Eastern Region, Ghana – The Founder and Leader of the Apostolic Prophetic Innovation Ministry, Prophet Kwasi Agyemang Prempeh, in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Awatey, has donated GH₵45,000 to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua. The donation is intended to support patients who are unable to pay their medical bills after receiving treatment.
The generous gesture follows extensive discussions between Prophet Agyemang Prempeh and the hospital’s management, during which they identified several patients who had been medically discharged but remained at the facility due to outstanding bills.
Speaking during the presentation, Prophet Agyemang Prempeh explained that the initiative is part of the church’s broader commitment to community service and healthcare support. He further noted that the donation is their way of contributing to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as The MahamaCares initiative.
The donation was officially received by the hospital’s auditor and Dr. Foster Amponsah Manu, who expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the hospital. Dr. Amponsah emphasized the hospital’s policy of treating all patients regardless of their financial status.
“We do not turn away any patient who comes to us, whether they can pay or not. We treat first and ask about payment later, because we believe riches are not written on faces. What matters most is the value we place on human life,” Dr. Amponsah stated.
He further added, “It is very important to save a life than to ask whether the person can pay or not—partly because we know every citizen is aware that this facility belongs to all of us. We also have hope that people like Prophet Kwasi Agyemang Prempeh will always come to the rescue of those who do not have.”
Hon. Rita Akosua Awatey, who was present at the ceremony, also thanked Prophet Agyemang Prempeh and his ministry for their thoughtful contribution. She expressed appreciation on behalf of the hospital and the many patients who will benefit from the donation.
