The Proprietor of Bright Senior High School in Akyem Kukurantumi of the Eastern Region, Bright Amponsah could not sleep last night after inciting students to beat WAEC officials.
The Proprietor since the incident has been making many calls to some government officials and top Security Personnel as well as WAEC to beg for forgiveness and their intervention to help solve the matter amicably.
The Headmaster of Bright SHS on Thursday incited the students numbering about 1000 to attack WAEC external Invigilators for not compromising for the students to cheat.
Four WAEC Officials were injured.
The Swift intervention by Armed Police Personnel from Akyem Tafo and some BNI officials helped restore calm on Thursday morning.
The rampaging students also attacked a Journalist with the Daily Graphic, Emmanuel Pacome, who was in the school to report on the attack on invigilators. He was attacked with sticks, stones and other implements.
All the injured persons who were rushed to the hospital has been treated and discharged.
Official reports has been lodged at Police station.
According to the students, the special deployment of external invigilators supervising the examination have been very strict disallowing them to even go out to urinate.
The students said the situation is affecting them psychologically hence unable to write the exams.
The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has meanwhile suspended Bright Senior High School as an examination Center following the attack on WAEC officials by candidates incited by the Headmaster, Bright Amponsah.
Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that the school has been asked to move all its Candidates to Ofori Panin Senior High School(OPASS) to write the examination.
Meanwhile, there is similar tension building up at Only Believe Senior High School, a private school in Akyem Kukurantumi over similar alleged intimidation.
Little over 1000 candidates are sitting for the exams in the school.
