The Acting President of the Effutuakwa Traditional Area, Nana Afran Siah, has asked President Akufo-Addo to provide asphalt roads in the municipality for residents to enjoy their fair share of the national cake.
Despite the President’s initiatives, the Chiefs and people of Effutuakwa have yet to see the results of those policies, according to the Chief, due to the poverty in the Assin Central and Effutuakwa Traditional Areas.
Since she was born, the Chief says she has never seen nice roads in Assin Central.
The Chief alluded to the fact that all of their roads are awful, particularly their town roads, and pleaded with the President to assist them in repairing their dreadful roads.
“On our roads, we have a problem with potholes. Despite the fact that I have reached retirement age, I have never seen an asphalt road in this municipality. We know the majority of the other members of parliament, and when they come here, they call you names because of our roads. As a result, we, the chiefs of Effutuakwa, implore you to provide us with at least 50 kilometres of asphalt roads. So we can say that Assin Fosu had an asphalt road throughout your tenure as president.”
In response to the Chief’s appeal, President Akuffo Addo pledged to meet all of their requirements. He also committed to upgrading the Municipality’s Assin Fosu Immigration Training Centre.
