Head of Public Relations and External Affairs at Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC), Mr Bawah Munkaila has said that the Board will soon discuss proposals from both the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Ghana Water Company (GWCL) for a possible increase in utility tariffs in the country.
He added that the two utility companies have both made a strong case for a new price regime that will cover their operational cost.
In an interview with Citi TV, Mr Bawah Munkaila said that they will go through the necessary processes in arriving at the accurate tariffs.
Mr. Bawah Munkaila also affirmed that the Board of the PURC will meet the utility providers before making a decision.
