Ghanaian referees failed to make it to the 2022 Qatar World Cup slated for December 2020 as the names of African referees selected for the tournament have been released.
This has generated heated arguments about the performance in the local premier league as well as on the African continent.
Six referees have been selected from Africa from six different countries to join their colleagues from other continents on the world stage to display their officiating skills.
They are; Bassama Bakary of the Gambia, Ghorbal Mustapha of Algeria, Victor Gomez of South Africa, Maguette Ndiaye from Senegal, Janny Sikazwe of Zambia and the only female official, Salima Mukasanga from Rwanda.
