Founder and Leader of non-governmental organisation, Human Care Maintenance (HUCAM) that seeks empowerment of women has advice women to quit abusive relationships before it escalate into different thing.
Ms. Evelyn Bema Darkwah in an interview on International Women’s Day Celebration indicated that the only way to avoid emotional and physical torture is to exit bad experienced relationships.
She revealed that, globally, statistics and data show women who try to quit abusive relationship are being murdered by their partners, a situation she described as unfortunate.
“It is not easy to quit relationship but abusive relationship is bad and can cause both emotional and physical effects” Ms. Bema Darkwah stated.
She, however, charged the various MMDAs in Ghana to find refuge home as proposed by the Domestic Voilence Bill and also called for passage and implementation of the proposal.
