Spanish giants Real Madrid will attempt to sign Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu in the summer transfer window.
The budding guardsman has emerged as a transfer target for several European clubs following his impressive performance in the La Liga this season.
According to reports, Real Madrid has expressed interest in signing Ghanaian defender Salisu Mohammed in the summer transfer window.
A reliable source says that the President of Real Madrid Florentino Pérez has held talks with Ronaldo Nazario of Real Valladolid over the possible summer acquisition of the Kumasi-born defender.
Salisu, 20, has attracted interest from several clubs including Manchester United, Valencia and Getafe after a sterling output for Real Valladolid in just a season.
It is believed that Real Madrid is ready to trigger his transfer clause this summer which is around twelve million euros under the recommendations of Zidane.
Salisu will become the third Ghanaian footballer to play for Real Madrid after Michael Essien and Daniel Opare who featured for the Real Madrid Castilla.
His current contract with Real Valladolid will expire in summer 2022.
He has made 25 appearances in all competitions for Real Valladolid in his debut season with a goal to his credit.
Salisu received a maiden call-up to the senior national team of Ghana under Coach Kwesi Appiah for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principle.
He couldn’t turn up for the two matches due to injury.
